We are well...

I'm not sure if "National" news will pick up the story of the Mount Vernon officer that was shot in the head. This occurred last night around 5:30 and our neighborhood was put into lock down until 1 AM. Stephen was able to park at a neighbor's house and get home but Alexandria went to Burlington to stay with my parents. The "staging" area for all the police teams was at the Middle School that Katrina attends, so there still is activity (follow up of crime scene) still happening but there is school today.

I saw this when I got up. So sad. Praying for the officers family

Oh gosh, how sad for the officer's family and scary for everyone else affected. Glad you are safe and please continue to stay so!
