Stamp storage

Have a paper crafting question? Post it here and maybe someone can help!
I desperately need a new way to store my cling stamps...this is how my stamps are currently stored and it DOES NOT function well!

Yep, that's a laundry basket full of bins with stamps. How do you store your stamps?????

I have a shelf with lots of those small 3 ring binders.

For the cling that are rubber, I usually store them like this:

For the polymer ones that come on an acetate sheet, I sometimes put them in the clear sheet protectors that fit the binders. ( I watch for good sales at Staples.)

Sometimes I just leave them in the packaging they come in and tuck them into the binders. At one time, all the binders were color coded for which stamp company they are from. Not so much, anymore, though the binders do have places to mark them. I tend to hole punch the sheets that show what is in the set and put it right next to the stamps, so I can flip through those looking for whatever I'm after. It's pretty easy to both store and find what I'm looking for. It's not perfect, as it does take a shelf, but they are narrow, so a thin shelf works.

For any wooden stamps, I put those in some plastic containers, no more than 2 deep, so I can search. I generally have an idea of where what I'm looking for is.

Wow Golda - I love the picture of your workspace! I hadn't thought of binders...maybe some of the photo sleeves would work for some of the smaller ones. Thanks for the advice!

I keep mine in binders, too. I use sheet protectors and photo pages with different sized pockets. I loosely organize them by subject-flowers, sentiments, humor, animals, etc. Wooden stamps are in clear plastic boxes that I bought from Archivers a few years ago. I don't buy wooden stamps anymore unless "I just have to have it". I think they make the best impressions but they are so bulky to store. I've been using jumbo binders but I'm thinking about going to smaller binders to make it easier to find the stamps. That will take a full day of massive reorganizing but I think it will be worth the time.

Can you say OCD? I hate messiness and I really like being able to find things. That doesn't mean my space doesn't have mess.
