Start with a 5-1/2" x 11" base card.
Set it vertically (11" tall, 5-1/2" wide) and make a cut 2-3/8" from the left long edge, from 3-3/8" down to 6-3/4".
Make a second cut at 4" from the left edge, from 2-1/2" down to 6-3/4".
On the left section, score at 4-1/4".
On the middle section, score at 3-3/8", 5-7/8" and 6-3/4".
On the right section, score at 2-1/2", 5" and 6-3/4".

Mountain fold the first score line of each section (on the middle and right sections, that is the part where the cut starts).
Mountain fold the score line at 6-3/4" on the middle and right sections.
The other score line of the middle and right sections should be valley folded.

You can flip this around, if you'd like, too. Then it would be an Ascending Step Card.
