My Dad is an avid photographer and he's been teaching Katrina. This weekend he let her use is fancy, heavy, and very expensive digital camera (it's a Canon 7D with 400 mm lens). They went out to the Samish Island and took this picture...it was actually the very first one she snapped!

Janice - she loves going out with Grandmaw and Grandpaw! She was so excited that Grandpaw let her use his really expensive camera, normally he gives her the point and shoot little camera to use (it takes good pictures too). She's showing him that she's really listening to him and really understanding the concepts he's trying to teach her.

Wow... what a first photo! I didn't know that their eyes are that color. She should feel very proud.

Well done!
She gets in practice now that could be a good job for her later (if she continues to be interested in it) or at the very least an enjoyable hobby. (As PS does--he won a red and white ribbon at the fair last August and a blue the year before! I was so proud of him!
)
