I had this print and cut mason jar with flowers in my Silhouette library for quite some time and when looking for inspiration it hit me that I could use this. I even found the flourish behind the jar on an old cut up piece of cardstock and hand cut that out and placed it behind the jar. I like how it turned out!

My mom always canned at this time of year, but entering the fair was never her "thing." I love the smell of apples, apple pie, apple crisp, apple butter, but only one of these would really go in a canning jar. I do think the pie in a jar might be interesting, but ... Better, I think, to leave that and move on!

Super nice card, Barry. I love the soft colors that you used.

Marilyn, I live near a county park that has an 1850s town that you can visit. Every fall they make apple butter in a huge cast iron kettle over an open fire. It smells divine!! Love your apple butter card.

Barry, that is a lovely card! I like the flowers in the mason jar.

Marilyn, what a fun memory, and a great card to go with it!

Barry - I love your jar of flowers!

Marilyn - I tried to make apple butter last year in the crockpot...I guess mine runs hot because I ended up scorching it!

Thanks for participating!

How nice it is to enjoy all of the goodies posted here without having to deal with the calories.

My best friend from high school and I always send each other hand made cards on every holiday. I think this might be her Thanksgiving card for this year.

Trudi... didn't you know that pie is an 'any time of the day' food? At least it is in my mind!

Such a wonderful assortment of cards... and yes, several of them do make me hungry!
Mine is non-edible.
