I made this cake last month and everyone loved it. I will be making it again for Thanksgiving. It's a great, easy recipe! It's on Pinterest; I can send the pin to anyone who wants it.

Elaine and Ellie, your recipes both sound so yummy! And, like any good chefs, your "presentation" is top notch!

I'm not usually a rum drinker, but I love hot buttered rum at Christmas time. This recipe, from one of my hubby's sisters, is a favorite. And it's good with, or without, rum!

Here is the recipe in case you can't read the card-

Hot Buttered Rum Batter

Blend together:
2 sticks butter, softened
1¼ cups brown sugar
1¾ cups powdered sugar
½ tsp. ground cinnamon
½ tsp. ground nutmeg
½ tsp. allspice

Add:
1 pint vanilla ice cream, softened. Stir until well mixed.
Pour mixture into a plastic container, seal, and
refrigerate. (Or store in freezer for up to 3 months.)

Serve:
In a mug, measure 2-3 tsp. Batter and 1 fluid ounce of
rum. Fill mug with boiling water. Stir, and sprinkle with
nutmeg. Note- this tastes good without the rum, too.
So the whole family can enjoy this holiday treat!

Well Kathy, I am a rum drinker so you know I will be trying this. Love your cup with the hearts steaming out.
