Saturday- “R is for Recessed Panel”- Winner is Trudi

These cards go together so quickly… and offer a nice 3-D effect. Although you can't see it very well in the photos, two sections of each card are mounted on foam tape, leaving a recessed center. This recessed center can be filled with stamped images, old maps, decorated paper, or even- like in one of my samples- an upcycled Christmas card. The cute little Santa mouse is also from an old Christmas card. (I bet it surprises you that I upcycled?!)

I thought I would get a jump on this while I had a few minutes. It did go together real quick but did have to go with a totally odd size to get the whole train on there. Made it to go in a standard business envelope.

Trudi, it's from a 12x12 paper pack I bought a few years ago after Christmas (hence the large size of the card).
