Game Time/February Trivia...WINNER GOLDA

Moderator: Golda

Loved doing this research. Was amazed to see how many things happened on Jan 2 over the decades, centuries... um... since AD 69!
For some odd reason, I found this one the most randomly fascinating-
1890 Record 19'2" alligator shot in Louisiana by E A McIlhenny

BTW- I found this fact on http://www.onthisday.com/events/
Which web sites did you use?

Ellie, I think Soda Fountain were fun to go.....
I remember at one time I would stop at one after school(high school) and have a cherry coke and cherry sundae.
I now tell my two grand-daughters Emily and Savy about my good old days...they have no knowledge what a Soda Fountain is.
Thanks Ellie for the memory and info.

Jane, I never knew that they printed the amount of a $1000.....
I can only image what I would do with a printed $1000 bill.
