Thursday-Chutes and Ladders Winner Golda!

Elaine, your card looks so elegant. Sorry it was so very difficult to make. I'm glad you didn't give up and destroy it with scissors or maybe fire? Sounds like it deserved it.

Trudi, this one is very cute too! You're smart to have used DP in making it. That eliminates having to custom cut the front and back pieces. But apparently I like to make things difficult.

Trudi, your second sample is also fun.
I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to not have the hole in the steps. I tried flipping the template that I got from Pinterest every which way. So... finally flipped the card and used it in a very different way. It just became a "support brace" for a swirly foilage die cut. I kinda like the way it turned out so was time well spent.
I added a closeup of the inside so you can see the sentiment tucked up under the "stairs." [Actually, thought about making this into a card depicting my favorite reading place as a child- in the basement under the stairwell. I had an old bean bag chair [the kind that leaked little white styrofoam beads EVERYWHERE] and a small table with a lamp. Spent many an hour there reading about the exciting life of Nancy Drew.

Did it backwards, but it worked.

The idea was "Love came down at Christmas."

Kathy - I love that you inverted the stairway! I love that the squirrel is hiding under the stairs with it's treasure!

Golda - I love the Baby Jesus scene!
