Terrie - what a wonderful Top Hat card! I think I need to borrow that idea for some of my Christmas cards!

Trudi and Terrie, your cards are both great. I love that snowman image with snowflake background paper, and the top hat shape card is ingenious.

I also picked one of the game pieces as my inspiration- the little Scottie dog. Actually, when my sibs and I played Monopoly growing up, the Scottie dog was always MY piece. I couldn't remember the other pieces, so I googled it. Was surprised how my memory then came flooding back. My oldest brother got the top hat [he thought is was the "smartest" one], my next oldest brother got the race car [interstingly, he was a car and motorcycle mechanic for many years], I got the Scottie, my younger sister was the shoe... and my youngest brother was the thimble... because he DID NOT want the wheelbarrow. My youngest sister never played the game with us. She just played with the houses and other game pieces... and the money. [So funny that she graduated with a finance degree and now manages a convenience store. The only one of the six kids that actually liked math made it into a career. Ha.]

PS- I've had this saying in my files for years. It was "author unknown." However, since I believe in following copyright laws, I did some web research and it appears that "If a Dog was the Teacher... " first appeared in an article written by Joe Albero so you can find it here-sbynews.blogspot.com/2014/04/if-dog-was-teacher.html

I'll share it here in case you can't access it via the link-

If a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them;
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride;
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy;
Take naps;
Stretch before rising;
Run, romp, and play daily;
Thrive on attention and let people touch you;
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do;
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass;
On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree;
When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body;
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk;
Be loyal;
Never pretend to be something you're not;
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it;
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.

Of course, I don't mind. Actually, when working on the card I was thinking you might appreciate the sentiment and use it. So... yay. [PS I still have no use of many computer keys including the exclamation mark. I would have used several of them in this reply.] :lol:

Okay, my first thought was the Water Works, but went with the Electric Company. Slightly different shape light bulbs, but still a bunch of light bulbs.
