Black Ice: April 23-29

Dispel the Monday blues with this Monday morning to Sunday night challenge.

Moderator: Ellie

Your challenge this week, should you choose to accept it, is to make a card using the Black Ice Technique. I did a blog post (https://goldapete.wordpress.com/2018/04/17/black-ice-technique/)on it with a link to the lady that created this technique and her instructions. It also shows what I used, as I didn't have the Stampin' Up things she used.

Here are a few of the examples I did:

Everyone that uploads a picture of their card made using this technique by Sunday, April 29 at midnight (I won't check until Monday morning early, so it doesn't matter what time zone you're in), you'll be entered in a drawing for a random winner prize.

Beautiful samples Golda! I saw this on Pintrest and was interested in trying it also. Thanks for the motivation.

Oh, Terrie, this is twice in about 2 weeks that someone else has used what you planned on doing. I'm sorry about that, but I do definitely love your card. I know that whatever you wind up with for your challenge will be amazing. I really like the colors you have on your card.

Golda, I think it's funny I guess we all watch the same video considering we are all card makers.

Golda, I watched this video over the weekend after I saw your post on Facebook. Interesting technique. Thanks so much for hosting this week.

Terrie, great card! I'm so sorry you got skunked again! You are just too "on trend"!

There are lots of steps to this, but it really goes fairly quickly. I did all of mine in a couple of hours. Granted, it probably goes more quickly if you are doing more than one at a time.

I like my hydrangea better than the lighthouse (hard to see in photo) but not crazy about the background so may change that up. It was an easy process but did have a couple I threw out because they smeared when I put on the Versamark. I thought the images were dry...alas not.

Your hydrangea is gorgeous. I like the lighthouse, too. I'm so glad you tried it, even if you did have to toss a couple. Thanks for playing along!
