Ghostbusters....10/5 to 10/12

Dispel the Monday blues with this Monday morning to Sunday night challenge.

Moderator: Ellie

Who are you going to call? GHOSTBUSTERS!

I bet you are thinking that this is a challenge featuring a GHOST...wrong! (Although if you want to feature a ghost on your project you may.) The translucence of Slimer and the other ghosts sparked this week's challenge.

This week's challenge is to create a project using Vellum...it does not need to be a card! How will you use your vellum? Will do go back to the old technique of paper piercing or use the vellum like the scratch art paper?

I chose to color my vellum with ink dobbers and made a lantern!

Oh Trudi, that is so cool! Very impressive! I guess I need to go to the store cuz last time we had a vellum challenge, I was challenged to find any around my house. Thanks for hosting and adore your sample!

Terrie, the embossed vellum is a great idea! I must try this! (Also, I suggest that you enter it into the current Simon Says Monday Challenge named "Dry Embossing". The DT there would love this! https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/)

I use vellum quite a bit on my cards, especially when I want to mute a background pattern or photo that might overwhelm an stamped image. That is what I did for this card. (Luckily, I purchased a ton of vellum back in 2001 when a business partner and I closed our little stamp store in South Dakota. I still have lots left. So... Elaine, you might get happy mail one day!)

Terrie - I love the snowy lantern! The big bow gives it a very elegant look...

Kathy - I love that you use the vellum to soften the background...I'm tucking that tip away for future use!
