Country Harvest 8/23 - 8/30

Dispel the Monday blues with this Monday morning to Sunday night challenge.

Terrie, what a fun pear card!
Elaine, I love your sweet blueberry card.
Barry, both your cards are wonderful. I love that blackberry paper. We have wild blackberries up north, but if you don’t get to them as soon as they’re ripe (the first week of July, usually) they are gone.

Our state harvest/crop is cotton: copper, cotton, and Grand Canyon state. I came up with an idea for my cotton card, it’s finding time to create it. I’m looking forward to making it.

I'm in need of my pumpkins to be harvested...they are super tiny and they definitely won't last to be turned into Jack-o-lanterns, so they will be turned into pumpkin bread!

It's also time to start picking the apples and start drinking hot apple cider! Alexandria is already gearing up for pumpkin pie spice flavored stuff (yuck unless it's pumpkin pie or pumpkin bread!).

I used cotton rag for the background "rows" of cotton.

Well Golda, you're much more creative than I am! I couldn't come up with (nor did I want to) anything for tobacco, cotton, soybeans or sweet potatoes so I went seasonal. Hats off to you!

Sorry I missed this challenge. I had a big grant to finish and ended up spending 68 hours working on it from last Tuesday to Monday PM. Got it submitted last night... but am exhausted. Was fun to stop back in and see the wonderful entries. Now I'm hungry!
