January 8-14 Try It-You'll Like It

Dispel the Monday blues with this Monday morning to Sunday night challenge.

Moderator: Ellie

We've been learning some new folds lately and I have stumbled onto another good one. I didn't see a name for this fold when I saw it on Pinterest; it just calls it a fancy fold. My first attempt turned out great and it was quick and easy to do. It actually took longer to watch the video than it did to make the card. So, don't be afraid of this one. Have fun with it; I will announce a winner next Monday morning. Here is a link to the video:

Vince works late on Monday so I can craft a little longer.
I'm not happy with this card...I love the new fold idea but putting it together didn't do it for me.
I always use double sided tape but this time I used wet glue and the card just buckled and curled....it's ready to go
into the trash...

Terrie - don't trash it...it's adorable! When my cards buckle I've pressed them between some heavy books or try to iron them, I've had mixed results with both ways. I'm sure the person you mail it to won't mind or even notice the imperfections!

Terrie, that’s really cute. I agree with Trudi; put some books on it. Thanks for trying this fold.

I only use Zip Dry glue. it never buckles and if there is any excess you can just rub it off with your finger. It’s $8 a bottle in the stores but I buy it online for about $5 with free shipping for orders over $25. I buy 5 or 6 bottles at a time about twice a year.
