Christmas Color Challenge 10/28/15

An open ended midweek challenge to give you a little bump to get through the rest of the week! Begins on Wednesday mornings.

Moderator: eoconnell

Do you realize, that in 2 months, Christmas will be over? Yikes! Now, I'm assuming you send out your Christmas cards before Christmas, so that doesn't give you much time to finish them.

This month, your challenge is to make however many more cards you need to be done on time using colors that you don't normally make Christmas cards with. Me, I tend to work with purple/blue/white/silver, colors like those, so I did 1 card using red and gold and another using pastels.

Now, I can't wait to see what you come up with. Remember, this challenge is open ended, but there's only so much time until Christmas. Have fun!

Beautiful Golda! The red one looks pink & silver in the photo and for the record, it would be gorgeous in pink!

Another good Christmas challenge, Golda! Thanks to you, I am almost done with my Christmas cards. Woo Hoo!! I will thin on this and see what I can come up with. Your sample cards are lovely. Interesting that the first one looks pink and silver on Elaine's computer. It looks red and gold to me but the colors are muted.

The red card base is a bit of a washed out red and the angle and lighting made it look even more light, but the ornaments are a bright red.

I found this black and white Christmas paper when I was shopping last week...I am so glad I went ahead and picked it up!
The snowflake is clear flat ornament that I found at the Dollar Tree.

Vince gave me one of the security envelope that he got in the mail....I save them they are great to recycle...
So my card is a non-tradition color card for Christmas in Black/Silver and White...
The background and the baubles are from different security envelopes.

Trudi, I really like both of your cards. I love the black and white background with the colored Santa on the one, and your ornament on the other is such a fun touch.

Terrie, what a great card with the different patterns. You are going to have to give instructions on how to make bows and ornaments with an envelope punch board.

Trudi, that is really cool paper! The Santa really jumps off it too. Good job!

Terri, what a great way to recycle! The patterns are so different that they pop off the background. Guess I should look more closely at my junk mail.
