Please follow the following card "recipe":
1 fold that's not in half (mine is a gatefold top and bottom)
2 ways of coloring embossing (for the notes, I inked the embossing folder; for the red panel I embossed, then colored the dots with a pen, I also used colored embossing powder for the flower and sentiment)
3 bits of sparkle (the dangling metal heart and the 2 flower rhinestones)
4 different colors (black, red, green and gold - white can count, or not, your choice)
and 5 eyelet rings ;) (there are two along the bottom of the top piece and the top of the bottom piece - shoelace tie, the 5th is in the top corner)

I had a lot of fun with this one, though I'm not too sure of the ribbon I used, I'm thinking an organza would probably work better. Oh well, I can't wait to see what you come up with according to the recipe. Now, the TWIST :D is that you need to use something old and something new (it is New Years time  ). The flower stamp is from a new set and the eyelets I have had for years and years.

Now have fun creating!

It really isn't that difficult, as I had several other ideas for this. Just needed a birthday card for a friend that this works for.

You don't even have to put the eyelets all the way through - you can use them as eyes, bubbles, etc. For the dangling heart, I ran the ribbon through a button on the back, so it moves around.

You can use clear embossing powder over colored paper or inked paper to color it, as well.

There are lots of ways to add sparkle, as well: paper, foil, ink, embossing, bling, glitter, etc.

Your old can be something that's been used before (like old cards you cut a piece out of, etc.) or just something you've had for a while.

Have fun with this! There are so many ways to be creative with it.

Wow, Golda, that is one busy recipe! But the results are a pretty card!
I don't have an eyelet maker so will have to get creative with that 'ingredient' but have an idea for the rest of my card.

If you don't have eyelets, try and find a way to make 5 small rings. Sorry, I had The 12 Days of Christmas going through my head while coming up with the recipe and had to add the 5 Golden Rings, which I made eyelets.

I needed a card for a sweet little three-year-old daughter of a friend... and found an Olaf template that was calling out to be fussy cut and put on a card! This challenge provided a great opportunity to turn Olaf into a fun sparkly surprise for my little Lucy! The sentiment reads "Hi. I am Olaf... (inside) and I like warm hugs."
I did follow the recipe, but a little loosely.
1) gate fold, 2) snowflake wreath 'halo' with sparkly embossing powder, and dry embossed snowflake background, dark blue ink on light blue cardstock, 3) sparkly embossing powder, plus two sparkly dots (blue and silver) PLUS Olaf has a sweet sparkle in his eyes!, 4) black, white, three shades of blue/teal and orange carrot nose, 5) the silver hologram sequins are used in leau of eyelets.
Something old is the embossed snowflake wreath. I remember embossing them on vellum when I owned a stamp store. Since that closed in 2001... these are pretty old! And the new is the printable Olaf template. ( you can find it here- http://lovebugsandpostcards.com/disney- ... printable/)

Fantastic job! I really love the fun Olaf and you came up with a fantastic substitute for the eyelets. Thanks for playing along, Kathy!
