Pine

Your challenge this week is to use something "pine" on a paper project. You can stamp a pine branch, a pine cone, a pine tree, you can use pine nuts in a shaker, pine needles, you could even use pine sap as an adhesive. Well, that might be pretty messy and is probably acidic, so that might not be a good one. It doesn't have to be Christmas, either.

Here are a couple of examples:

I actually got the pine branch/cone set as I thought it would work well for masculine cards.

I can't wait to see how you pine!

Very nice samples Golda. I like the pine set also and the pine cones look almost 3D. Your shaker tree card is delightful. Thank you for hosting. I know I'll have to wait on this challenge since I don't think I've got a thing with me to make this work.

Green paper and scissors would make lovely pine needles, or a pine tree. ;)

I'm hoping at least a couple of you are working on something for this. It's a good opportunity to get started on your Christmas cards, if that's all you can think of when you think of "pine". It doesn't even have to be a card.

My son said he really wants to see someone do something with a Pine Marten on it. I'd never heard of it before, but he was correct, it is adorable:

That is cute! I did stamp something when I was home this morning so as soon as I drag all my craft supplies in, I've got one coming.

Well, I thought outside the box and created a "Pine" apple card. This design was inspired by a project design from the Silhouette store but I put my own spin on it using files I already had.

Great challenge, Golda.
And fun spin on the challenge, Barry.

I was going to make a Christmas card, but instead opted for a humorous card for a friend, who is truly a hoot!
(And yes, some of us Norski's- or spouses of Norski's- really do say "You're a hoot!")

Barry, I absolutely love your take on it! Pineapple works perfectly. :D

Kathy, what a lovely card. I am not a Norski, nor married to one, but I say that, too. ;)

Thank you both for playing along!

Barry - love the pineapple!

Kathy - cool owl..

I tried to "color" my embossed image and some of the pine cones look like smudges in the picture but in person you can see the texture pretty well.
