Night Sky 8/29/18 to 9/4/18

An open ended midweek challenge to give you a little bump to get through the rest of the week! Begins on Wednesday mornings.

Moderator: eoconnell

Your challenge this week is to make a night sky background. It doesn't matter what type of card or paper project you make, just make sure it has a "made by you" night sky background. Have fun with this!

I was waiting on my card for Linda Jo's challenge to dry so forged ahead and made one for this challenge.

Elaine, I love it! The sparkling trees and sentiment are beautiful, too.

Elaine, I really like your card. The layout, the color scheme, the hello that stretches across the entire card... and the night sky are all excellent.

Okay.... this didn't turn out quite like I had envisioned... but I think I was able to salvage it.
Sponged the sky then embossed snowflakes with white pigment ink and white EP. However, it clumped up... alot...so many of the flakes were just blobs. I decided to just color over the worst ones with a dark blue Spectrum Noir marker which actually provides a nice color variation of several shades of blue. Then because the poor little penguin just kind of blended into the dark background, I had to add white gel pen highlights.
I am glad that I tried... and plan to try again in the future sometime and stamp fewer snowflakes to start with. I really have a flurry.

Super cute, Kathy! I love snow globe cards. I was always fascinated by snow globes as a kid so the cards take me back to more innocent times.

Really cute Kathy! You did a great job of salvaging your globe and your penguin looks great with those highlights.
