Who Says They Don't Mix? Sept 26 - Oct 2

An open ended midweek challenge to give you a little bump to get through the rest of the week! Begins on Wednesday mornings.

Moderator: eoconnell

You've heard water and paper don't mix. That's just wrong. Your challenge this week is to create a paper project that has water involved in some way. I used Distress Ink and some water to paint with the ink. I also put some Distress Ink on an acrylic block and "smooshed" it. (My smooshing needs work.) I used some water colors to splatter, some to paint, I spritzed things with water, etc.

You saw this one in Barry's challenge. This one is Distress Ink with water on regular card stock.

This one is the same on water color paper. It got a different look.

Did a lot with this one.

Can't wait to see what you come up with using water. There are so many, many more ways to use it.

Nice cards Golda! Thank you for hosting. I plan to go home and spend some time tomorrow while waiting for a UPS delivery so hopefully I'll get a chance tomorrow to play. It's been a while!

Love that little bear on your cards, Golda.
And, I struggle with watercolors, but I like making distressed backgrounds. So will see what I can come up with.

Kathy, remember distress inks, and many other types of ink, react to water. Have fun playing!

Terrie, leaves are a perfect match for the smooch technique! Great job!

On the right is water color paints and on the left is water color pencils.

Great job on your smooshing, Terrie! I really like your card with those beautiful leaves.

Elaine, I love that you did 2 different types of water cards! Both are beautifully done.
