Color Challenge Anything Goes...NO WHITE

An open ended midweek challenge to give you a little bump to get through the rest of the week! Begins on Wednesday mornings.

Here is my card. I used Opalite inks on black card stock. The ink is shimmery, but that doesn't really show in the picture.

OH Koren! That is beautiful!
I think the shimmeriness shows up beautifully.

Kathy, love your starry card!

Golda, I'm blinded by the sparkle! It's so fun!

Koren, what a striking card! It really looks beautiful with the black background.

Golda and Koren, you have both produced very nice sparkly cards. Maybe we all use white too much because I'm thinking your cards are really pretty.

Koren, your card rates high on the "Ohhhhh" factor for me! So pretty!

Kathy, I agree with Ellie that your card is stellar! Great job.
Golda, I love what you have done! I can picture the look in person. There are just some things that show better in person. Beautiful work!
Koren, I love the wings! Great use of color without the white!

Everyone is doing such a good job on this. I am sorry I have been such a lousy challenge host this time around. I have the deadline for these 60 books right on top of me. We were snowed in and I RAN OUT of glue! I was so frustrated. I was able to go ahead with a couple other things, but I wasn't worth much when I got done. My hands are so sore, I can hardly hold a paint brush! I will do better next time. Please forgive me!

Marilyn, you did fine with your challenge hosting! And the challenge itself was a good one. Hope your hands heal up soon... and that you get those books finished so that you don't feel so stressed. (I think that Spring arriving will help lessen your stress, too! Actually, ALL of us are looking forward to the end of this years winter!)

Koren, that is gorgeous! I can imagine how the shimmery inks make it look in person.

Marilyn, you are not a bad host. I hope you are able to get everything finished on time and don't have any more problems.

Kathy, my card is actually all cutting with the happy birthday the only stamping. I used a glitter card for the greenish/blue parts. Cut everything with the Silhouette. Definitely cleaned out the blade after the glitter card and blew it out with compressed air to get rid of all the bits of glitter that came out. I did use a Stardust pen on the "Happy Birthday" so it didn't look so plain with all the glittery parts.

Thanks, Golda. The wonderful things that you and Barry create make the Silhouette look so enticing. Great job!

After a busy weekend, I'm back with a finished card (and prodding my MIL to join us with a finished and posted card!).

No white, not a bit... Not even for something to put my sentiment on. What's more, I decided to use some scraps.
