Snowy Christmas - August 26 - Sept 1

An open ended midweek challenge to give you a little bump to get through the rest of the week! Begins on Wednesday mornings.

Moderator: eoconnell

Just 4 months until Christmas! How are you coming along with your Christmas cards?

This week, your challenge is to make some Christmas cards that have "snow" on them in some way. Here are a few ways to show "snow" on cards.

Emboss some white and add a bit of glitter.

Emboss snow and just give the hint of it.

Or, just make it look like a snowy area.

I can't wait to see how you show "snow" on a card.

As this is a Wednesday challenge, there are no "winners" chosen, so the challenge never really closes. Take the opportunity to get a few of your winter cards, pages, or projects done and show us what you make with "snow" on it.

I have the grandkids today and tomorrow but they are in school all day so I had time to play...yippee!! I used the same snowflake embossing folder on both cards but I brayered some stickles onto the snowman ones. They really sparkle in person. I only made four of the tree cards because the hand coloring takes so long. Thanks, Golda!

I got this little stamp and die set for my birthday last year from my precious Bug. (Yes, she remembered me saying I liked it and told Daddy she wanted to get mommy "two penguins." Thankfully Daddy was able to decipher her comment--only because they went to Michael's and she saw it on the rack and pointed it out. THEN it made sense to him.)

Anyway, he's on a background of embossed snowflakes with some stickles to add a little color to jazz it up.

This paper was a gift from Barry (I think!). I added the clear glitter lines around some of the snowflakes.

Sheri, Bug is a good little shopper. Once she learns about coupons there will be no stopping her! Your card is very cute and the stickles really give it pizzaz.

Trudi, your card does indeed have a warm and cozy feel to it. I like the glitter around the snowflakes.
