Bits and Pieces

Ellie, I have scraps coming out of every crack and crevice in my craft room, so this is a great challenge.
Love your sample cards, too.
Elaine, your cards are also great. Love the way you highlighted that beautiful gifted flower in the second!

Both cards came out great, Kathy. Christmas cards are a good way to use up scraps and get a jump on holiday card making.

Great job Kathy! Is that a die cut on the first card (or doily, or lace)? It's a beautiful pattern, whatever it is! It feels good to use up some of those scraps, doesn't it?

Elaine, the die-cut looking edge on the first card is actually cut from a plastic tablecloth! It is sold by the yard at one of our hardware stores, and I loved the square doilies so just had to get me some! About 1/4 a yard yielded several dozen of these little cuties. And, with a little fussy cutting they work great. This one actually has the center doily square cut out for use elsewhere. Not sure just where yet... but it might pop up on a future card!
