Feb 15-21:Double Diamond Fold

An open ended midweek challenge to give you a little bump to get through the rest of the week! Begins on Wednesday mornings.

Moderator: eoconnell

Recently found a fun fold that is new to me. And, since it was so quick and easy to make, wanted to share it.
Here is my card (that will be sent to my MIL in the near future). Hope you join me in making one!

If you google Double Diamond Fold or check Pinterest, you’ll find lots of samples with templates and instructions for making the card with different sized papers. I found 5x11.5, 4.5x12, and 4x10. All are made the same, just slightly different in size. So… you can pick the one that fits your image! Here are a few of the sites that I found most helpful.

What a fun card, Kathy. Love the sentiment, too. Does it lay flat?

Yes.. it lays flat enough that it should go for first class postage.
This one will fit in a regular size (A2) envelope. (I think that I used the 4 x 10 template size.)
I do recommend that you make your first one with regular copy paper to check on size... and also to get the fold correct. Watching the video really helped me to get that part right. It is simple... but took my brain a few tries to get it right! (I'm directionally impaired when I drive. And... apparently when I paper fold, too!)

You have me laughing (glad there was no tea or water in my mouth). I'm hoping to have a bit of time this weekend to look at the videos and try this.

My card has a pocket in the center with a blank card so that I can personalize it later.
