Anything but a holiday card!

An open ended midweek challenge to give you a little bump to get through the rest of the week! Begins on Wednesday mornings.

Hello. I had a Snowflake card all ready to use in this challenge... with a fun technique. But... realizing that people are busy right now and might not have time to enjoy spending time on anything not absolutely necessary, I decided to save that for later.
Instead, the challenge is to share a card that you make (or recently made) for a non-holiday related event.
Mine was a masculine card made for my father-in-law. Gene celebrated his 98th birthday last week. Yes... 98! He used to raise Arabian Horses... so I knew that he'd like this card. And, he did! Can't wait to see your creations!

That's a wonderful card, Kathy! The burlap really gives it that extra punch.

I'm glad to see this challenge. After spending all of my time making Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas cards I am eager to make "every day" cards. I bought this dye recently and couldn't wait to use it. Linda Jo came over last Friday and we gave it a try. This is a sympathy card; the inside says Comfort. Now I need to replenish my supply of birthday cards!

Oooo!! I have one I made over the weekend while at GlitterBug's house for Thanksgiving (the only time I've had to play lately). I'll try to get a picture of it when I get home from work!

Terrie, I'm thinking you could do an Anything Goes challenge on the 8th. We all have other cards/items to stamp this time of the year! (Or, at least I do!)
Trudi, your BDay invitations are lovely. That touch of rich purple really pops!
