Southwest April 19-25

An open ended midweek challenge to give you a little bump to get through the rest of the week! Begins on Wednesday mornings.

Moderator: eoconnell

Your challenge this week is to show me what your idea of the Southwest is. It could be colors, imagery, a saying, etc. I had planned on using a cowboy, but didn't have time to get it done. Here are a few examples:

I can't wait to see what your ideas of the Southwest are.

Cute cards Golda! Love all your watercolor backgrounds. And thanks to the prize you sent me, I could even play...if I were home. But since this is an open ended challenge, when I get back home, I want to play!

This is a pretty easy challenge, as I just want you to give me your idea of SouthWest - it could be colors on any type of paper project, a sentiment on any type of paper project, or an image on any type of card or paper project. I would like for you to tell us what your idea is.

I went with the colors in my mind with orange and turquoise for Southwest (I should of used a darker color of turquoise)

Terrie, it is beautiful! There is a lot of light color washes, as well as brighter colors in SouthWest stuff, so the turquoise is perfect. Love that darker ribbon with the orange, too. The feathers add to the SouthWest feel.

Golda, this will be a challenging challenge for me! I have snowflakes and snowmen galore but nary a cactus!
So...need to dig in my paper supply- and peruse Pinterest- for ideas. I also appreciated your suggestions! Will give it a try.

Speaking of tries...Terrie, your card is so fun! Love the colors, patterns and textures. And the feather is a great focal point.

Southwest means Texas! These are for some "misplaced" North Carolina kids that are currently living in Corpus Christi, TX!

PS...just because you're a cowgirl, it doesn't mean you can't wear stylish clothes & accessories!
