I went without a pattern and have determined why you definitely need a pattern. It is very tall. Oh well.

Golda that is lovely! I just love the colors and I am so glad you didn't color in the woman it gives that dress a focus! Great job. did you get that template from a search on google?

Nope. I had that skirt die (Hero Arts) and figured I know how to make a gathered skirt, so just did it. Like I said, a pattern would have been helpful as I had to use 3 to four layers of mounting tape to get it to the level of the back of the waistband. Yikes! Too much layered in to small of a spot. Oh well. I did print off a couple of patterns/templates to try, later.

Okay...first try...I drew all over the "right" side of the paper...ooops, my bad! For the 2nd one...my hubby kept telling me that it was backwards...2 daughters told him he was wrong and proved it by opening the music book that I was cutting up! Finally, after I done a few layers with the folded music paper...it's really thick...so I took it apart and decided to cheat the technique (I used the stripes of paper without folding it). I'm glad I tried the technique, I don't think I will use iris folding very often...just for very very special people!

I'm totally with you on that, Trudi! Your card is beautiful! I love the beautiful red rose paper behind the music.

Trudi your card is beautiful! Sorry that you had some difficulties with this project but you found a way to 'cheat' the look and for that I give you Kudos. You had a 'make it work' moment and I am truly grateful and impressed. Thank you for trying this technique.
