Your challenge is to try double embossing in one of two ways:

1) use pressure embossing, then swipe embossing ink lightly over the top and add embossing powder. Heat to set. (This is in Cardmaking & Papercraft Magazine, Issue 170, didn't see anyone else post how to do it online.)

OR

2) heat emboss a piece of card (cover the whole thing with embossing powder before heating), do it again, then stamp, with embossing ink, and emboss that in another color. (Saw Jennifer McGuire do this: http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2017/09/emboss-3.html, saw another posting about it from someone else a year ago, too)

They sound strange, but both are techniques I've seen this summer. I tried them both and would love to have you try at least one of them. Check out my blog to see what I did. https://goldapete.wordpress.com/2017/09/05/double-embossing/

Can't wait to see what you come up with. Neither one is as difficult as it sounds, nor as time consuming. Try something new, you might just like it.

Interesting concepts Golda. I particularly like your Japanese card! If I get a chance between pet jobs, I'll give it a try.

I used my embossing folder and then inked the raised design and used green embossing powder (with a little bit of the glitter embossing powder).
