Sept 20-26: Get Inspired!

An open ended midweek challenge to give you a little bump to get through the rest of the week! Begins on Wednesday mornings.

Moderator: eoconnell

One neat thing about this hobby is inspiration is everywhere! I've been inspired by brochures from a doctor's office, the colors of the walls and furnishings in a café, the pattern in someone's shirt, a billboard or advertisement. Recently I was inspired by an ad in a local newspaper. I liked the silhouette (I think it’s an Elk. But I might be wrong. I’m a stamper not a game warden or hunter!) and wanted to cut one from cardstock to add to a card front. Scanned the ad and then was able to reduce the size of the silhouette to fit an A2 card. After fussy cutting the image I mounted it onto a A2 sized piece of vellum, which I adhered to a calendar scene. Will attach a sentiment when needed especially since I never seem to have enough masculine cards.

My challenge for you is to create a card that is inspired by something you have seen. If you can add a photo of the scene, items, etc. that inspired you that would be great. If not, just tell us about it. Have fun!

My inspiration came from these Fat Quarters and Molly's Favors..
Last week I had to make 20 favors for Molly's birthday party...so I still had the Fat Quarters on my counter in the craft room,
so I made a crazy quilt card...
I kept staring at my card all afternoon then I decided to add gold strips in the seams...I like it better!

My inspiration are my two grandchildren. Since Halloween is coming I made bags to fill with candy for my sweet boys.
