Getting there is half the fun! January 10 - January 16

An open ended midweek challenge to give you a little bump to get through the rest of the week! Begins on Wednesday mornings.

Good morning, I have another fun and different fold for you to try on a card. I like this because it gives an illusion of depth but it is just cutting the front part of the card in half, masking the cut and you have an interesting card. Below are the instructions and video. I hope you give this a try, it is really simple and impressive. My sister absolutely loved this card when I sent it to her thanking her for hosting us for Christmas!

Here is my example, I used some butterfly and flower stickers to create the border that masks the cut. I first put them end to end on a piece of white cardstock and carefully fussy cut them out, attached them to the cut.

Have fun this week!

Barry, your card is gorgeous! I will do this today. We are having freezing rain so I will definitely spend the day doing “laundry “
Thanks for giving us another fold to try!

I pulled out the Graphic 45 paper and my fussy cutting scissors and came up with this. Thanks for a challenge that kept me busy on a crappy winter day, Barry.

Ellie, that is gorgeous! Your butterflies look amazing!

I had trouble finding something that would work to mask the cut that was big enough but not too big - but I really like the final product. It took going through my papers that I keep meaning to donate.

Ellie how pretty. I know you love to fussy cut. Wonderful job.
Elaine, How cute is that. I love the idea of using something other than flowers. Great idea.
