Beach Scene Challenge 1/20 to 1/26

An open ended midweek challenge to give you a little bump to get through the rest of the week! Begins on Wednesday mornings.

Moderator: eoconnell

I am ready for some nice sunny weather, sand between my toes, and a warm tropical breeze. Barry must have been thinking along those lines as well because in my prize package he sent me this lighthouse embossing folder! Whoo hoo!

This week's challenge is to create a BEACH SCENE...have fun and remember to wear sun screen!

I embossed the card then water colored over some of the areas. (I did try to water color on the folder then emboss it, but that turned into a mess!)

Love it!

I'll have to put my thinking cap on!

Oh, how fun! I love your lighthouse and the embossing.
My husband got me a lovely stamp set for Christmas that should work perfectly for this. I'm so excited to get to use it.

Love your lighthouse card, Trudi. I have that same embossing folder and you just gave me an idea on how to use it! I'm so ready for nice, sunny, warm weather too!

I'm going to pretend I'm sweating instead of freezing and see if I can get inspired today. Thanks for hosting Trudi and I like your lighthouse card!

This definitely made me smile because I love the beach. I was reminded that we are going to Florida for TWO WEEKS this year and I can't wait!!! The trip is not until May but a girl can dream. Fussy cutting this slender flamingo was a real challenge; towards the end I had to hold it with tweezers because it is so tiny and delicate. I probably won't do that again anytime soon.
Thanks for a fun challenge, Trudi!

Ellie - you have mad skills when it comes to fussy cutting...I wouldn't have even tried!

What a great scene, Ellie! Good grief, I can't imagine fussy cutting that flamingo.

Ellie, really nice beach scene! You clearly have better eyesight than I...I would have had a one legged flamingo.
