July 2-8 Summer Project Challenge

Dispel the Monday blues with this Monday morning to Sunday night challenge.

Moderator: Ellie

We never got Spring in Kansas City. We went straight from winter to Hot Hot Hot. It has been 100 degrees for several days. I have an easy challenge for you: make a summer project. You can make a card but I will enter your name twice if you make something other than a card. To inspire you, I have made a tea light lantern with cute smiling fireflies on it and a simple paper fan. (I love to go to outdoor concerts but I always take a fan to keep myself cool.) Have a great time with this. I'm hoping to learn about some new projects from you guys. I will post a winner next Monday morning. Have a happy, safe 4th of July!
P.S. If you haven't seen my Give-Away post, hop on over to Chit Chat and check it out.

What great projects, Ellie! Love your shooting star window on your lantern and the lace at the top of your fan is great.

Oh my gosh Ellie, that firefly lantern is adorable! I'm home ever so briefly so maybe I can pull together some stuff to take with me.

I have to agree that the Firefly project is cute & adorable...well done
Well hello, hello I'm home until tomorrow night then going back to the campground I came back home to do laundry and get more clothes...It's been a busy few months and now we are getting ready to sell the camper hopefully before the wedding in August....we are done with the campground so what's next who knows....

I made a quick Explosion box for this challenge....my sister Georgette gave me a large carrying case with cardstock for my birthday one year.......it's nice cardstock BUT the colors are kinda weird it's also double sided but to me the colors don't go very well....
Thanks Ellie for a fun challenge.

Well, I didn't do a project but I did do a summer card. This was made with vinyl gold outline stickers from Elizabeth craft designs that I purchased at the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo, colored them with my copic markers, fussy cut them out and placed them on a back ground using distress inks to create the 'sand'.

Barry, that is a fabulous card!

I went with a summer card, too.
