Make mine half & half - May 13 - May 19

Dispel the Monday blues with this Monday morning to Sunday night challenge.

Moderator: Ellie

Good morning everyone! This weeks challenge is a fun and simply one. Make a half fold card (I am sure there is an official name for this type of card but I don't know what it is). Take a piece of cardstock for the base of your card and cut it to 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 and score it down the middle. Add your embellishment or sentiment to the top of the fold making sure that you stay under 4 1/4. Your final card should be a standard card size when finished (5 1/2 x 4 1/4) to fit inside a regular size envelope. My example is a stamp set from CC Designs that I colored with my copic markers, cut a frame from the Silhouette and placed him on the decorated card base.

Have fun this week, you have until next Sunday night, May 19th at midnight to be eligible to win a prize from me.

I had a very small window of opportunity to make this; I start a dog job at 5:30am tomorrow so it was now or never. If I remember correctly (and that's always iffy), I think they were called tent topper cards.

Elaine, it's really a cute card and like the yellow background to go with the Spring flowers....

I couldn't remember of the style of the card but now that you posted the style it came to me.....
thanks for sharing it.

I've never seen this card fold before and love how simple it is. Your card is so sweet.
