Tri-shutter cards May 27 to June 2

Dispel the Monday blues with this Monday morning to Sunday night challenge.

Hi everyone!

Recently, Terrie sent me a card kit for a tri-shutter card. I had forgotten how much I love making these cards! This week I would like you all to try to make one of these fun cards.

In case you don't have the measurements memorized or don't have a cut file for the base, here is a link for the measurements..

There are many tutorials, but I liked this one...

I will draw for a prize on the morning of June 3rd...I can't wait to see what you all make!

That's really cute Trudi. Always nice to see ideas for manly cards. Thanks for hosting.

Been a while since I've made one. Since I had enough base to make 2, I went for it.

And I love this fold, too. Haven't made one for a while. Hope to find time to make one this week.

This took a while, but mainly as I didn't have any "craft" time. The papers go together better than it appears, but not as good as I had hoped, except when you tip it in the light.

The part I don't like about this style of card is that there isn't much place to write. I stamped a sentiment in the only area that would have worked, on this one. So, the back it is.

Golda - I love the Movie theme of your card! Yes, this card does lend itself to writing on the back or enclosing a separate note but everyone I've made it for leaves it out on their shelf for much longer than they do for other cards!
